Training Opportunities
Hello All. It was great seeing everyone this
Spring. I am working away on my new book with New Harbinger. I
am pouring the training technologies I have been working on over the
past couple years into the book. I also have some new case
conceptualization training activities that are emerging in the
workshops. I am very excited to get some of this new training
technology in front of you, both in the book and in the workshops. Below, you will find most of my training dates that are currently set
(or being actively organized). Feel free to contact me at
kwilson@onelifellc.com about
attendance at any of these trainings, or about organizing a training in your
area.
See current dates below including a a workshop in
Oakland, CA May 30-31. June 23-25 I will be back to Arhus, Denmark
where I will do a 3 day workshop focused on addictions. July 7-9 I will be in
Sweden. I am working on some summer dates including, of course, the ACBS
Conference that will be held in Holland.
In the fall I have scheduled a trip to Kentucky
August 21-22, 2009 where
I will do a workshop for the Kentucky Psychological Association.
It was a
crazy busy training year last year and I am in the process of talking to
some folks about where trainings might be held for the coming year.
Let me know if you have an interest in any of these venues or if I am
nearby, maybe I can arrange a stop.
If you want a stronger sense of what my group and I are up
to here in Oxford, I encourage you to surf around my
a Academic Website. It gives a reasonable
sense of our groups interests and activities. I particularly encourage you to take a
look at the
Lab Manifesto. The
manifesto is an evolving description of the mission of our work group at the
University of Mississippi. You will find much overlap between the
sensibilities of my training company and the sensibilities of my academic
workgroup.

Training on the Contextual
Psychology
Website
ContextualPsychology.org is the official home of the Association for Contextual
Behavioral Science. There is also a lot of very cool content for ACT
and RFT interested therapists and researchers. Visit the
Association for Contextual
Behavioral Science surf around. The
Association for Contextual Behavioral Science is a unique scientific
organization. Among its many odd qualities, it has a
values-based dues. That is, the amount you pay in dues
is the amount that you feel membership is worth. It is a
crazy idea, but it seems to be working. Go check it out. Join the ACT
and RFT list
serves. You will find lots of friends and resources. If
you find something of value there, take advantage of these low and no cost
methods of learning. If there are additional services that we can provide,
please contact us.
